I Just Want a Chilled Red Pack
We've all said it, haven't we. Sometimes you just want to sit with a light, chilled red and watch your worries float on away. Bye bye worries! These wines are stunning and slurpy with that dainty touch of complexity, perfect for serving after 20 minutes in the fridge. Delight your senses, go on. You deserve this.
Claus Preisinger Blaufrankisch 2020
Outside the tiny town of Gols, Claus Preisinger farms 19 hectares and 64 different plots, biodynamic since 2008. The winery is one for the ages, google it! So beautiful. 'Kalkstein' references the shell limestone soils beneath these 30-years-old vines, hand-harvested, spontaneously fermented, stainless steel, and large barrels. So bright like the burst of a wild strawberry, broody with bramble, plush like a great kiss.
Della Staffa "Ciliegio" 2018
Danilo Marcucci, the ‘Yoda of natural wine’, has created a cherry bomb. The grape itself is named after the Italian for cherry, but Marcucci has really lived up to the name here. Easy acidity, light levels of spice, and juicy, fleshy red fruit. How these guys make SO many wines, and they're all SO good, is beyond me.
Ciello Rosso 2020
An oldie but a goodie! One we look forward to each seasonal release. Tasty times Nero d'Avola from an organic producer in Sicily. So dense but yet so vibrant! Blue and black fruits and the right amount of spice. Tumbler/carafe/pizza/sorted.
Pa Pa Pinot Noir 2020
The hottest wine in the shop. We cannot stock enough of this. So we saved you some! Abolutely stunning Pinot Noir from Xavier Goodridge out of Mount Gambier, South Australia. Pure-fruited, designed for easy warm weather drinking. It's gluggable, charming and pretty like a ripe round raspberry. Miam!
Amrit Syrah 2018
Perfume, crunchy blood plum, red apple. All the while that little telltale white pepper Syrah gives. It is silky and strong, don't fridge for too long! You wanna let all those gorgeous well navigated aromatics unfurl. From a beautiful biodynamic vineyard in Red Hill, Victoria, Shashi (the winemaker) has really got this nailed.
